Great recording.

This production has a fine overall cast with an unusual contribution from a young Placido Domingo as Walther.

DFD is dead wrong for Hans Sachs.

I didn't find the conducting and playing in this performance as captivating as in the Goodall or Keilberth recordings which I also own.
