Having heard all cds except number 2 because of an incredible bad luck of receiving cd number 7 twice I can safely say that concerning the violin sonatas no one can possibly match the outstanding performance of Goebel with his suitable sound in this particular case , his dryness so to say ,his way of phrasing and a kind of perfection that can not be described for this pieces makes them unreachable, I have listen many versions and none of them come even close , so I can tell that buying this version is the best investment you can make concerning Biber music..
